Canal Winchester Medical Office

In 1996, a group of physicians teamed with Calgary Real Estate Development to build Canal Winchester's first multi-tenant medical office building; a 12,000-square-foot, $1.3 million project on 1.5 acres near Gender Road and Rt. 33.

The building was 100% leased at construction and tenants include a two-physician primary-care practice, an ophthalmologist, optometrist, dentist, and psychologist.

Dr. Dan Konold, a Canal Winchester family physician who invested in the project and is one of the anchor tenants, said that the facility was "an important contribution to serve the residents of this rapidly-growing community." Though several primary care physicians reside in Canal Winchester, until the facility was opened, only one doctor practiced there. "The community lacked a modern facility suitable for physician use," Konold said.

Calgary served as the general partner and developer, managing the project. Jim Havens is a general partner of Calgary.
